Firmware 2.4.94 update: here’s what changes

The new OLI eBike Systems firmware 2.4.94 represents an important step forward in technology and in personalizing the experience of our users. We look forward to sharing these improvements with all of you. Below is the list of the most relevant updates:

REMAINING CHARGE DISPLAY

The way in which the residual charge is shown on the display depends on the type of battery used by the eBike system.
Depending on the battery, the charge will be shown in % or in notches.

SMART BATTERIES

display in %

Smart batteries allow UART communication with the OLI eBike Systems giving access to BMS data.
It is possible to show on the display the real remaining charge capacity of the battery represented in %.

NOT SMART BATTERIES

display in Notches

Tacche-batterie_Tavola-disegno

These batteries do not allow UART communication with OLI eBike Systems.
In these cases, the residual charge level shown on the display is an estimate, which can be conditioned by multiple external factors: battery life years, charge and discharge cycles, level of assistance used, external temperature, etc.
Countless tests on batteries of different capacities have allowed us to considerably improve the reliability of the estimate shown on the display, which will be represented in notches.

MORE CUSTOMIZATION OF LOW-CHARGE ASSISTANCE LEVELS

Possibility to customize the levels of assistance allowed in the presence of a low battery charge. When the battery reaches 6%, the end user will thus also be able to use level 2 assistance.
